Who we are

This website is run by FEZEY MARKETING SERVICES, trading as Fezey Media, of Office #118, Your Own Business Center, Zalfa Building, Al Garhoud, Dubai, UAE. Where this page says “we”, it means Fezey. For anything about your information, write to us by email.

What this site collects, and why

You can read every page of this site without telling us who you are. We learn your name, or how to reach you, only when you send them to us.

When you send a brief

Start something asks about your brand and how to reach you: the brand’s name, what it does, where it is today, what you want to move, where you think it is stuck, what you have tried, what you picture in a year, a rough budget, when you want to start, your name, role and company, and an email address or phone number. With it, the form sends where your visit began: the page you landed on, the page that linked you here, any campaign tags in that link, and the page on which you pressed Start something.

We use it to read your brief and reply to you. It is sent by email to the Fezey team. It is not saved in a database on the website’s server.

With a brief, the server may also note the internet address it came from, and the city and country that address points to (from MaxMind’s GeoLite data), so we can see where it was sent from.

When you apply for a role

The Careers form asks for your name, an email address, a phone number, the role, a link to your work or CV, and your answers to the questions for that role. We use it to consider your application and reply to you. It is sent by email to the Fezey team, and a short automatic confirmation naming the role is sent to the email address you gave. It is not saved in a database on the website’s server.

To keep the forms working

To stop the forms being flooded, the server counts how many times a form has been sent from one internet address in the last hour. The address is scrambled with a one-way key before it is used, so what is kept is a count against a code, never the address and never what you sent. The count clears itself after an hour.

Server records

Like every web server, the one this site runs on keeps records of requests: the internet address, the time, the page asked for and the browser. They are kept by our hosting provider, Hostinger, to run and secure the service.

Cookies and measurement

A small bar asks whether we may use cookies for measurement and advertising. Until you choose, and if you say no, none of those cookies is set: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity then work without them, so they can count a visit and see how a page was used, but cannot recognise your browser on another page or another day.

Measurement

If you allow Measurement (Accept, or Choices), Google Analytics, from Google, and Microsoft Clarity, from Microsoft, set cookies so they can follow a visit across pages and visits: which pages are read, how far down, which buttons are pressed, and, in Clarity, how a page was scrolled and clicked. We use it to see which pages and campaigns work. Both run through Google Tag Manager.

Advertising

If you allow Advertising, the Meta Pixel, from Meta, sets cookies and tells Meta that you visited, and when you send a brief or press Call, WhatsApp or Email, so we can see which of our ads on Facebook and Instagram work and show them to people like you. Meta may link it to your Facebook or Instagram account under its own policy.

These services receive your internet address and your browser’s details, and handle them under their own privacy policies, which may mean outside the UAE.

Your choice is kept in this browser. To change it, press Cookie choices at the foot of any page; switching a category off clears the cookies its services set on this site.

What stays in your browser

When you press Start something, your browser’s session storage notes the page you were on, so the brief can say where it began; while you fill in the brief, your answers are kept there too, so refreshing the page does not lose them. Both stay on your device. The answers are cleared when the brief is sent, and everything when the tab is closed.

The site also notes in your browser how your visit began: the campaign tags and ad click codes in the link you followed, the page you landed on and the pages you viewed. It lasts for this visit only or, if you allow Measurement, for 90 days, so a brief you send later can still say what first brought you here. It leaves your device with a brief you send and, if you allow Measurement, with the measurement above. Your cookie choice is kept there too.

The site itself sets no cookies. The cookies described above are set by the measurement and advertising services, and only once you allow them.

Other services

The pages’ 3D engine (the three.js library), the fonts and the media are served by this site itself. Google Tag Manager, which runs the measurement above, is loaded from Google on every page, so Google receives your internet address while you browse, whatever you choose in the bar.

Links to WhatsApp and LinkedIn take you to those services, which handle your information under their own policies.

This site includes GeoLite data created by MaxMind, available from https://www.maxmind.com.

Who sees your information

Your brief or application is read by the Fezey team. It passes through our email provider on the way to our mailbox. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

What the measurement and advertising services collect is seen by the Fezey team in their reports, and by the services themselves as their policies say.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as we need it to reply to you, to work with you if you become a client or join the team, and to keep proper business records.

Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Meta keep what they collect for the periods their settings and policies allow. The visit notes in your browser last 90 days at most.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to us by email.
